This development is another means by which VBH enables its customers to present their estimates in a better way. As described above, creating a catalogue electronically allows the customer to submit an estimate to the end-user as a printed catalogue.
However, he can also refer the end-user to his virtual in-house exhibition. The virtual in-house exhibition is essentially a product gallery with the customer’s logo that is linked to his website.
In the gallery, the customer presents products that are also displayed in the VBH brochures that he in turn wishes to add to his selection for end-users.

The reasons are clear to see: when selecting fittings such as door or window handles, end-users often wish to discuss the alternatives with their families; for this they need images. Up to now, end-users either had to find the images on the internet themselves or borrow the relevant documents – i.e. manufacturers’ catalogues or documents from wholesalers such as VBH – from the company they were planning to buy from. Now they can save themselves the trouble.
In the virtual in-house exhibition they click on the gallery they require (e.g. window handles, door handles, etc.) and can now run through different design variants according to their requirements in a virtual setting. If, for example, an end-user wishes to purchase a new door, he can combine different wood colours with different door handles and see what matches best – or what does not match at all. Even the particularities of the end-user’s architectural situation can be simulated to a certain extent, e.g. the area surrounding his front door. Here, the end-user can try out the different front door materials in a virtual setting and see for himself how the various solutions look. Even the size of the fitting can be seen here, as its shape or material alone reveals little about how it will look if no consideration is given to its size in relation to the door.

The end-user can store his requirements on an electronic note and send them to the VBH customer by e-mail with minimum effort.

Here we come full circle:

the customer now prepares the estimate via the vbh24 OnlineShop using the electronic catalogue creation function. These two innovations which, incidentally, Thomas Erhardt thought out and programmed himself, provide VBH customers with tools that will be of great benefit to them in the fiercely competitive market environment.

Furthermore, this service is free of charge for all VBH customers!
